Antigone, in Greek legend, the daughter born of the unwittingly incestuous union of Oedipus and his mother, Jocasta. The phenomenon of the hero and heroine in the context of Classical myth will also be examined. What we call "mythology" today, was a big part of ancient Greek culture and to provide "color" and context to the rich history and culture of ancient Greece.
